the biggest sis

She still confidently bounds off to school each day.

She comes home and does "homework".

Mornings can be rough.  She's not a morning person...like her mother.  She says she doesn't want to get dressed and go to school.  But after a 24-hour-bug last week she awoke the next morning at 6:45 on the dot, clothes in hand, telling me that we had to get moving because she had to be back at school today.

She is the mother hen.  She dotes on her little sister and brother.  She LOVES them.

She fashions baby wraps out of my scarves.

One of her biggest complaints about having to go to school?  Not enough time leftover to play with James.

She writes four page manifestos about the Fourth of July.  {To be fair, one entire page said "I like July Fourth very, very, very....21 times very....very much."}

And this picture that I found on the camera from a recent adventure just sums it up.

Audrey: Sprawled across the floor, belly hanging out of shirt.
Madeline: I have no idea what she is doing.  Nor why anyone would actually do this.

  1. Madeline is a beautiful caring child, really they all are... Some are just a little more independent (Audrey)? James appears to be extremelly "laid-back".
