We started the weekend with friends in town. It was lovely. Great friends who embrace our quirks and sunny weather to kick off spring. Lots of lounging around, running at parks, eating, chatting, and playing. And my bestie inspired me by going a little Super Nanny on Audrey. Just what we all needed to break out of a winter slump.

One of our favorite places to hang out is the Central Library. It's fun to see some new scenery, ya know? Lots to do, no crowds, and a HUGE section of books starring characters from PBS Kids. Plus we get to do fun things like feed a parking meter.

We coupled the trip downtown to visit Darrin's new office and have lunch with him. Audrey's been talking about it ever since. She loved his moving desk (it raises to standing height at the push of a button) and the elevator. It also reminded me to keep their horizons a bit broader -- Audrey walked in a said, "Girls work here!" She seemed legitimately surprised.

Today was a trip to play at Jester Park and see a reptile program put on by Polk County Conservation. It was great. We'll be going back for more.

We've also had plenty of time for lounging around, reading some books, making frozen yogurt popsicles, and having friends over to play.
A nice mix of activity and relaxation so far.
