And the winner is...

Madeline Grace!!! Madeline has officially won her first contest. She has been declared the best colorer in her age group by our friendly neighborhood Dahl's.

This can only mean one thing -- my child is a genius and has incredible artistic talents. After all, as I was reminded by my mother, she is the great-great-great-granddaughter of a sculptor who studied under Rodin in Paris (does The Thinker ring a bell?). She's got good genes.

Madeline would like to thank Grandma for entering her in the contest and providing the crayons and time to complete her masterpiece. She'd also like to thank the rest of her family for their love and support as she develops her artistic talents. Lastly, Madeline thanks her mom for cleaning the crayon off the playroom wall last week when she was having an especially creative moment. Her agent is currently talking with Crayola about the possibility for corporate sponsorship.

Darrin and I would like to thank the very, very, very generous people at Dahl's. Not only did Madeline win a ginormous basket full of goodies, but we also now have an eleven pound ham.
